Electrical Repairs & Troubleshooting

Dead outlets, breakers that keep tripping, flickering lights or that faint burning smell. When something electrical is not right, you want a licensed electrician who finds the real cause and fixes it for good.

Call Now

Lights flickering? Breakers tripping? Burning smell you can't track down? Most electrical problems get worse over time, so what starts as an occasional trip or a flicker is usually a sign of something bigger underneath. Our technicians are trained diagnosticians first. We trace the problem to its source instead of guessing and swapping parts.

Because electrical is the only trade we work in, our trucks are stocked to handle the vast majority of repairs in a single visit. You get a clear explanation of what's wrong, a written price before we start, and a repair done to current code.

What does an electrical repair cover?

Outlets & switches

Dead receptacles, loose or scorched outlets, faulty switches and dimmers, and GFCI and AFCI replacements.

Breakers & panels

Breakers that trip or will not reset, hot panels, buzzing, and overloaded or undersized circuits.

Flickering & dimming lights

Lights that flicker, dim, or buzz, often a sign of a loose connection or an overloaded circuit.

Burning smells & hot spots

Any burning odor, warm cover plate, or discoloration. These get same-day priority for your safety.

Wiring faults

Open grounds, reversed polarity, shared neutrals, and aging or damaged wiring found during diagnosis.

Code corrections

Repairs that bring older or DIY work back up to current code, including failed-inspection fixes.

When should you call an electrician?

  • A breaker trips repeatedly or will not stay reset
  • Outlets or switch plates feel warm or look scorched
  • Lights flicker or dim when appliances turn on
  • You smell something burning with no obvious source
  • Two-prong outlets, or outlets that no longer hold a plug
  • Buzzing or crackling from a panel, switch, or outlet

Electrical Repairs FAQs

How fast can you come out for a repair?
We prioritize anything that involves a safety risk, like burning smells or hot panels, for same-day or next-day service whenever possible. Call us and we will find you the soonest available slot.
Will you tell me the price before you start?
Yes. We diagnose the issue, explain what is causing it, and give you a written, upfront price. Work only begins after you approve it.
Why does my breaker keep tripping?
A breaker trips to protect you. It usually means a circuit is overloaded, a device has failed, or there is a short or ground fault in the wiring. We find which one it is rather than just resetting it.
Do you charge for a diagnostic?
For troubleshooting, we charge a $59 in-home diagnostic assessment to track the problem to its real source, and we credit it toward the repair when you move forward with us. Replacement and installation quotes are always free.
Do you fix work that another company did?
Often, yes. We regularly correct DIY or previous-contractor wiring that was not done to code, and we can document the corrections for inspections or insurance.
